About Us
The Lakeland Democratic Club in partnership with the Polk County Democratic party is a diverse group or people of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds working together to promote democratic values and candidates in the Greater Lakeland area of Polk County Florida.
We meet on the First Thursday of every month. We strive to have interesting speakers discussing timely topics with local impact.
Our working meetings officially start at 7pm but please arrive at 6:30 so you can socialize!

What to expect at an LDC meeting
Every month we have a speaker or topic of discussion that can teach us or help us grow. Our aim is to ensure you leave feeling like you have accomplished something or you have a task you can work on to help us achieve our goals.
Our Goals
In early 2024 we chose to focus on four topics: Climate change/environment, Healthcare/women’s reproductive rights, Racism, and Poverty/homelessness. All of our meetings will focus on one of these topics or be tied back to these topics in some way. This focus helps us make a larger impact in the community which in turn helps us grow as an organization.
