What you need to know about Project 2025
Greetings Everyone:
The Equal Justice Initiative identified nearly 4,400 lynching victims in the South during the years between 1877 and 1950; therefore, we have researched lynching information that covers the aforementioned years in Polk County, Florida. Also, any photos available are helpful too.
There were 18 African American men lynched in five Polk County cities: Bartow (4), Eagle Lake (1), Kathleen (1), Lakeland (2), and Mulberry (6), and others to be researched.
